Dinslekt is an online genealogy and family tree building tool. We offer both free and paid subscription tiers with varying features and usage limits.
3. User Account & Responsibilities
- You must provide accurate registration information
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to use this service
- You must not share your login credentials with others
4. User Content
- You retain ownership of all genealogy data you submit
- You grant us a license to store and display your data for service operation
- You are responsible for the accuracy of submitted information
- You must have the rights to upload any photos or documents
5. Data Accuracy Disclaimer
Important: We do not verify the accuracy of user-submitted data.
- The service does NOT verify accuracy of user-submitted genealogy data
- Historical records may contain errors or inconsistencies
- Users should verify information from primary sources
- We are not liable for inaccuracies in family trees
6. Limitation of Liability
Please read this section carefully.
- The service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
- We are not liable for data loss - users should maintain their own backups
- We are not liable for decisions made based on genealogy data
- Our maximum liability is limited to fees paid in the last 12 months
7. Backups & Data Export
- You can export your data via GEDCOM format at any time
- We recommend regular backups of important data
- We maintain backups but cannot guarantee complete data recovery
8. Subscription & Payments
- A free tier is available with usage limits
- Paid subscriptions are billed via Stripe
- You may cancel your subscription at any time
- No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods
9. Account Termination
- You may delete your account at any time
- We may terminate accounts for violation of these terms
- Data is retained for 30 days after account deletion
10. Changes to Terms
We will notify you of material changes via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the European Economic Area. For EU/EEA consumers, disputes shall be resolved in the courts of your country of residence.
